The Security Guard is responsible for protecting and securing the assigned premises, including buildings, assets, and people. This role requires vigilance, strong observation skills, and the ability to respond calmly and effectively to emergencies or incidents.

Security Guards' Responsibilities

• Patrols: Conduct regular foot or vehicle patrols of assigned areas to deter criminal activity and ensure security.

• Inspection: Check doors, windows, gates, and other entry points to ensure they are secure.

Security Guards' Requirements

• Age: Must be 18+ (unarmed) or 21+ (armed) in most states.
• Security License: Complete state-mandated training (e.g., 8–40 hours).
• Armed Guard Certification: Additional training in firearms safety, marksmanship, and use-of-force laws.
• Ongoing Training: Annual refreshers on laws, technology, and safety protocols.
