Education Virtual Assistant's Responsibilities

• Communication Hub: Serve as the first point of contact for student inquiries via email, chat, or the Learning Management System (LMS).
• Active Listening: Listen carefully to customers to understand their specific needs, questions, and the root cause of their issue.
• Onboarding: Guide new students through the enrollment and orientation process, ensuring they can access courses and materials.
• Progress Tracking: Monitor student participation, login frequency, and assignment submission, flagging at-risk students to the instructor.
• Tutoring & Q&A Support: Answer routine and content-related questions (based on provided materials) or direct them to the correct resource.
• Feedback Collection: Gather student feedback through surveys and compile reports for the instructor.
• Course Setup & Maintenance: Upload, organize, and update course content like videos, PDFs, quizzes, and assignments within the LMS (e.g., Canvas, Moodle, Teachable, Thinkific, Kajabi).
• Troubleshooting: Provide basic technical support for students and instructors experiencing issues with the platform, video playback, or submissions.
• Accept Feedback: Be open to feedback from quality assurance coaches and supervisors to continuously improve performance.
• Reporting: Generate reports on student progress, quiz results, completion rates, and engagement metrics.
• Research: Conduct research for curriculum development, potential resources, or academic content.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential student records, attendance, and databases.
• Procurement & Resource Management: Order textbooks, software licenses, and other educational materials.
• Communication Drafting: Write and send routine emails, such as welcome messages, deadline reminders, weekly newsletters, and course updates.
• Content Development Aid: Create engaging visual aids, infographics, and short video tutorials (e.g., using Canva, Loom, or CapCut) to supplement learning.
• Transcripts & Captions: Create transcripts for video lectures and add closed captions to ensure accessibility.
• Grading & Assessment Support: Grade objective assignments (multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank) and track submissions for instructor-graded work.

Education Virtual Assistant's Requirements

• Hardware: A personal computer (desktop or laptop) that is less than 5 years old and meets the company's minimum processing (e.g., Intel i5 or equivalent), RAM (8GB+), and operating system requirements.s
• Internet Connection: A stable, high-speed internet connection.is mandatory. Minimum speeds are often required (e.g., 25 Mbps download/5 Mbps upload minimum). A wired Ethernet connection is strongly preferred over Wi-Fi for stability.
• Excellent Written and Verbal Communication: Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and empathetically with students, parents, and instructors
• Strong Organizational & Time Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and students simultaneously.
• Technical Proficiency & Aptitude: Comfort with learning and navigating new software platforms quickly.
• Exceptional Verbal Communication: Ability to listen carefully, understand the customer's core issue, and respond appropriately.
• Basic Understanding of Educational Processes: Familiarity with concepts like student onboarding, course progression, assignment submission, and grading.
• Strong Written Communication: Proficiency in grammar and spelling for handling email and chat support.
